So happy to see the wonderful Davina McCall discussing and exploring issues around menopause on Channel 4 – I was in tears listening to some of the stories and hugely inspired and hopeful that change is coming
I am very happy to be able to open again to clients old and new from 12th April and I am taking bookings now.
I’m really looking forward being able to offer support during these times. Women have been badly hit by the crisis and as a practitioner who has a special interest in women’s health I am interested to hear everyone’s story and help be part of a support tool kit.
I have made a small change my price list with effect from the start of the new tax year and these are listed on my site.
I’m really looking forward to welcoming clients old and new from November 9th.
I’ll be continuing with the precautionary measures and advice on how to offer treatments safely during the COVID crisis so we can both feel safe during the session. If you are a new client and have any queries then please contact me for more information.
All best wishes and look forward to seeing you soon I hope, Kate
I’ve had a busy time of it since the great news that I can open again. I’ve been checking up on the recommended guidelines and making sure your concerns over returning to the treatment room are listened to and acted on. For any client who is booking in for the first time, or a returner, there’s an online consultation plus phone call, to check that you’re happy with what to expect from your visit and address any concerns over keeping safe whilst you’re here. Many of you are especially interested in reflexology, not just because it’s a wonderful relaxing and therapeutic treatment, but because during these difficult times, it’s a treatment where you can keep all your clothes on and you and I will be over 1 metre apart, whilst you lie on the massage couch. With such obvious benefits and in order to help, I’m offering a discounted rate of £30 for a 45 minute full reflexology routine. This is available for anyone and I hope will be welcome for anyone who is financially or in any other way struggling with the challenges of COVID and needs some ‘me-time’ to help cope. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
I am very pleased to have the green light to open again for both Massage and Reflexology from 27th July. There will be some new protocols in place around your visit to keep us both safe. I have been advised by the Massage Training Institute and the Association of Reflexologists who have issued some excellent advice. Please contact me to book your lovely treatment . Look forward to seeing you!
As a member of the Association of Reflexologists I was delighted to read in their newsletter this month that my former teacher at the Cotswold Academy has won an award.
Annette Stoker is the winner in the Inspirational Tutor Category. Such teachers inspire learners, helping to bring out the very best in learning and achievement which ultimately produces high calibre reflexologists for the industry.
Annette certainly was a fantastic tutor and I feel very lucky to have had her as my guide. Well done Annette, a deserved win!
There’s no getting away from it, January can be a tough time of year. How do we get through; it’s cold, there’s bugs around, maybe we’re feeling sad or achey. For some people it’s a good time to try new things or plan a holiday but for others it’s a time for being quiet and homey. One of my aims for the new year is to make more time for stretching, massage, knitting, films and walking in nature. All things that make me feel grounded and happy. I’m lucky that I know lots of well-being practitioners but this year I’m committed to making more time for the feel-good factor. I’ve been for a fantastic aromatherapy massage already this year and this week I’m going for some reflexology. It really helps me to check in with treatments; I like to feel the benefits as much as the next person and it helps me to feel relaxed and energised and able to give to my clients. I hope you can find ways of getting through the winter, already there are signs of Spring and in the meantime there’s always benefit to be had from treating yourself to something that makes you feel refreshed and cared for.
Just a stones throw from the famous Abergavenny Food Festival, I’m open for therapeutic massage and reflexology all day Saturday and Sunday. So if you need a break from the crowds and some chill out time, just let me know – my treatment room awaits. Card payments accepted.
